With this rug as a part of your interior, you will never have another day without a stroke of sunshine and happiness in your life. The bright yellow nuances will suit both neutral and already colorful interiors.
The handcrafted cotton rug has been woven with a series of cotton strips - remains from the international fashion industry. Normally, these would meet their sad end in a container, and later probably at a disposal facility. Instead, they are now used to bring you this beautiful and unique cotton rug.
When the fashion industry makes shirts, skirts and other cool stuff, they end up with many cotton leftovers. Rug Solid loves garbage. They bring the leftover materials to a small village in India, where they sort the colours, shred the cotton, and weave the thousands of small pieces to end up with a one-of-a-kind rug. All done by hand naturally. If you have the patience (and a dash of luck), you might recognize a pattern or some details from last season’s fashion collection.
Available in 6 sizes.
When you feel this carpet between your hands, you will also feel the care that has gone into the dense weave. Of course it is less expensive, and easier to produce carpeting in conventional manner. There is, however, not much reuse of materials, which is why we believe this method is worth the effort. Another advantage is that no two carpets are the same; each carpet has its own particular and beautiful details.
During the production process, a uniform and tight weaving is a priority, so the end result is a high-quality carpet that will be long lasting, contemporary and earth-conscious.
Danish brand Rug Solid’s fundamental idea is rooted in recycling. They are taking it upon themselves to create new life by transforming waste into beautiful, unique design rugs in an exquisite quality. Less waste. More function. It’s that simple.
Rug Solid's products are certified Global Recycled Standard (GRS). The standard applies to the full supply chain and addresses traceability, environmental principles, social requirements, and labeling. GRS was developed with the textile industry in mind.
Daily cleaning may be done with regular vacuuming or by beating the rug. If the rug is stained, it's often easier to rinse it with a garden hose than using a brush to avoid rubbing the stain in further between the fibres. Stretch the rug immediately if it gets wet.
Since these products are woven by hand, the size may vary by 3-5%. Some floors can be delicate and particularly susceptible, we therefore recommend that the carpet used with a rug underlay to prevent staining on the floor. If in doubt, check with the flooring manufacturer. The carpet may be slightly "dented" when put on the floor, but will flatten with use.
